Do You Enjoy Working from Home?

But in order to succeed you must:

• Creating a good environment to be more productive and efficient
• Have long experience and skills (multitasking, self-management, self-motivation, organizational skills ...)
• Be more organized and methodical
• Gather all working conditions
• Psychological comfort
• Have all the necessary resources
• Self-confidence
• Managing Stress in Your Home
• Managing your time
• Discover your strengths
• Do not get caught up in daily emergencies at home

I like some aspects of this kind of work, such as given space to be free and not limited by time, uncommitted by uniform, flexible hours of work 

But this kind of work does not match all positions 

I do, yes.  But I like working in the team as well.

There are many reasons why you might decide to start working from home, you might want to cut down on commuting time; save money or simply have a desire to spend more time with your family.

If you love your family and family is where the home is, then you will love working at home. I love working at home because I get to see my wife and my kids every day. 

To be productive at home is another thing. You have to have some process and some sort of "work ethics" at home. If you want to be productive working home, do this:

1. Have an agreement with your family that some things in your "small" ok your "tiny" office are off limits.
2. Have a structured work time so that your family will know when you are "available". My work time is from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. I have a rule that important family matters can interrupt me any time.
3. Organize yourself. I have a space with my laptop and extra monitor, printer, file holders, table and chair in the second floor of our home. It is beside the "tiny" studio of my son who is a graphics designer. (He still hasn't done the logo for my website. You can post some advice on this for me if you have the same problem with your son and found a way to solve this.)
4. Have a schedule when to open your email, your social page, and your website. Not all work are actually done via the Internet. I have scheduled moments for reading real books and research papers in hard copy.
5. Have a plan and work your plan.
6. Be on time even at home.
7. Dress for work even if you are working at home. I learned this lesson when my client suddenly requested a Skype meet with video. It's very difficult to be business-like in pajamas.

I enjoy working from home, especially when I want to beat time target for delivery and when the task demand research out of work hours.
