I'd share the annual salary plus any other allowances that can be added. Or a range from $$ to $$. If we are at the point of negotiating salary of course.

Yes, as this gives both sides a clear picture to all parties and avoids misunderstandings; the recruiter can also make recommendations of companies who can potentially match the salary or offer a competitive package based on the expectations of the candidate.

There are different viewpoints regarding this controversial point. Some pragmatic persons belief that the range of salary and benefits should be decided after a probation period to test the skills, knowledge and level of performance compared to the deliverables during a specific period of time. In this case, they don't prefer asking about salary upon interview.

A second category of persons prefer disclosure of salary and related benefits from the very first beginning to avoid any future misunderstanding or wrong expectations.

Generally speaking, when applying for a job in a specific professional company, size of business and high-ranking fame can give a hint on salary scale, and later on a contract will be signed accordingly after agreement between the two sides based on mutual respect of high-level for each other sides.

As for small business companies , it is advisable for ordinary employees to know their financial status from the beginning due to more fluctuation in salary scales.

At last and not the least, nature of company or organization will play a role in such a sensitive issue. Rules and precedures differ in a public / government company from those in a private one, in addition to contracting process.

No, But we can give our expected salary. In case we can let them know our current package or approximate if offered salary is less than our current.

Yes of course, I'd say it will be a good give away of your value from your previous company and also for your expected salary from the recruiter.

Yes, I think candidate should discuss this topic in very piquantly manner with recruiter.

As this is the main and futuristic area which need to be reviewed very frequently.

I am always willing to look at the bigger picture. I would want to be paid according to what I bring to the position, but would be willing to be somewhat flexible.

Salary can not determine based on your experience or qualification you have.
