An Internet service provider has a support centre. Here the reps provide customer support/service about any issue with the internet access. Once the issue is resolved they do marketing activity pitching for sale of more expensive ISP plans or new advanced routers. They also promise full support for installation of the routers.
It depends..if it is an existing customer then customer service comes first. However, marketing brings you new customers so one can extend customer only only after you have a customer.

suppose u go to a shop u never ever heard about and they treat u with respect and help u in whatever u need, then you'll be happy and u tell about that shop to everyone else u know. one the other hand if u go to a shop u saw advertisements on newspapers and tv about it but u found poor customer service like no one is there to help u or everyone is busy in gossips n all then u say something bad about them and tell everyone not to go there.
marketing of customer service will bring more businee because that's one thing can differentiate you among your peers.
Customer comes first, becuase having good customer care you more likely to get repeated customers plus recommended ones.
Marketing is the way of letting the details and promotion of the product were people know nothing about it. But here some cases we need to show full concentration on the customers because if they satisfied fully with the product for sure they will explain the advantages of the products to their relatives and friends, gradually the marketing will grow by the satisfied customers.
