ios customer are those who need max security and a responsible company to look after the data and reliability of services. Ios are majorly used by middle and upper class socieity .
in contrast Android is like a play ground in mobile development. it is open for all and developers can build several apps for no cost . custoemr base of android is high as it is cheap and available on all major mobile phones.
the ios system is an closed system he is secured for 90/100 the custumer can't be a developper
in other side the android uses can be a devlopper by rooting the device
but android devices is so easy to hack with preloids and airmitage it so easy you can also hack it with another android phone
I will explain with a real life story. Starbucks had app only for iOS. So one guy astked the manager why they don't have an app on androoid, provided android has more users. Then the manager explained. There are more users in android. But the % of users who use starbucks is less compared to the % is iOS. So the point is simple, If you develop an app for everyone, then spending money for android is wise. But if you are developing only for high end users, then iOS might be better option
Apple tends to market towards the wealthier section of the market while android markets far more broadly and is more popular on a global scale.
iOS is a closed source operating system and is tightly controlled by apple. iOS Developers must stick to the tighter apple store guidelines and update schedules apple uses. Android is open source and far more flexible as far as what hardware it can be run on. While android is released by Google, third party mobile developers can modify it and produce their own flavor of UI / apps to be run on a wide range of hardware.
Apple tightly controls most aspects of their branding, hardware and software. Apps are reviewed prior to acceptance into the App Store. Push notifications must abide by Apple’s rules. To ensure users get a consistent experience, Apple pushes operating system updates to users. Marketers have always needed to play by Apple’s rules and timelines to participate in iOS apps.
Android has an open source operating system which makes it vulnerable as compared to iOS. iOS has the monopoly on the biggest market (US) but globally Android devices are used more especially in Middle East and South Asia. As of now, mostly rich and middle class people use iOS phone because they are way more expensive than Android phones (again because of the open source Operation sysytem)
The main difference between iOS's and Android's targert customers is based on what application is the problem statement.
In general, iOS's target audience is rich and higher middle class people whereas android's target audience can range from poor or lower middle class people to rich people.
iOS's target audience like things to be reliable, stable and decent, they do not like much funky stuff. On other hand, many of android's target audience is used to customisation. They like to make changes in wahtever they do. They like more colorful things.
While many of iOS's target audience is status-oriented, they think about their status in society before doing anything. Android's target audience is free-minded, they aren't much status-oriented.
The difference between iOS's target customer and Android target customer is based on Age of users, their mental age (the level of maturity), Location of the market on the globe, ease of access, ease of usage and availability of the spare parts of the produc
Both of them have the same customer base as such. Precisely, Apple goes with simplicity + security and Google with User Interface + Storage.Apple majorly targets customers aged between- wherein, having an iPad or any Apple device is a form of standard.
As a teenager you want to have an iPod for music, and then growing older an iPhone to serve your business purpose along with iPAD/Mac to have your presentations in place with complete assurance about the security of your data.Android gets the leftover (no offence please) part where in people fail to understand the reason for such stringent security and limits provided by Apple. Customers who would want to compromise on quality for storage and price.BR,Mohammed Naveed.
