Do you think that the fact of entrusting responsibilities to your subordinates, will increase the chances that these ones can replace you one day?

Nothing is permanent but change. Yes sure they should replace you and you should replace the positions ahead.

Thanks

No, I do not think so, since replacement standing on many factors such as ( seniority, history of experience with company,  right of promotion), and management can measure well every single achievement individually, so if I would not give my subordinates tasks and responsibilities that will cause delay in production and accumulation of responsibilities on you and you can not do it by yourself alone.

Yes of course maybe, as long as his education background, technical experience, capabilities, skills and talents are matched with the job description in question.

Thinks cannot be stagnate, right? You cannot do everything, so you need people to complete the job in their respective levels of experience and knowledge. so its like you grow and let others also have an opportunity to grow. Especially you stopped somewhere means you will be thrown out or gets override, so you need to move on and giving your subordinates to let grow. Its upto how competent you are is the point that chances of replacing you. If so, you have to accept it. My 2 cents. Thanks.

Anybody can be replaced.  If I start thinking like that then I will suffer and work in a bad manner with my fellows at work therefore I have to open.

I have to work hard everyday and get new ideas.  This is the difference between who can do things and who can develop things and I should of the last type.

Entrusting responsibilities to your subordinates doesn't necessarily mean that the person will replace you one day. Sharing responsibilities within your team will foster a strong employee engagement activity which will greatly benefit you and the company. As a leader, among your role is to develop talents/skills of people working with you. If there is someone you had trained and develop to grow and became qualified to take your position, he will be your legacy as you are the one who shaped this person to be strong enough to follow and continue your leadership.

Thanks.

Yes I do think the same, but it is not the only factor int his regard.

Experience, knowledge, attitude, loyalty, accountability, responsibility, working under pressure, communication skills....etc are other factors that measure their abilities and increase their chances to substitute.

Absolutely. "even the best entertainer leaves the stage", everyone comes around but they have to eventually leave when their time is up. For purposes of professionalism and continuity, everyone has to be replaced at some point hence a manager or leader has at some point has to teach, train & entrust their subordinates with various responsibilities so that when the right times comes for them to leave, there is continuity. Thanx for the invitation
