You can evaluate that by the following :-
1- You need to have a look to your skills , results and steps every6 months ,, if you have one single step forward in each of them it means you are on right track.
2- You need to analyse your achievements every3-5 years ,, if you have a new position or title or upgrading ,, it means you are on right track.
3- You need to have a look for your team as a manager ,, if one or more promoted or has a new title or post ,, it means you are successful manager.
The last thing and a very important issue during all that ,, you should enjoying the time inside and outside your career to stay with positive energy and maintain the success.
