Pregnant women and new mothers are suffering increasing levels of unfair treatment at work, including cuts in hours, being put on zero-hours contracts or even forced out of their job, a report has revealed.

Employment experts say, it is best to acknowledge the pregnancy during the interview. Mention right away that you are so excited this is a family-friendly place, that you like their policies, that you hope it won't be a problem.

Pregnant job seekers should emphasize their attachment to the organization rather than their need for maternity leave.

Common sense says: Prioritize.  So if you are pregnant what is more important for you? looking for a job? or taking care of yourself and your baby? Of course the later.  In this case you a part time job should be considered, a short term contract, or a free lance project.  I would endorse/ hire/ recommend anyone who would come to me and say I am pregnant but i still need to fill few hours a day being productive what can you give me.  Now if you already are working in a company and you got pregnant, well that is just another topic.  I believe this topic is about looking for a job while pregnant.

The pregnant woman must first think about her health and that of her baby before going to apply for a job.

Her state of health does not allow her to make any effort, so she must take care of her and pay close attention to the baby in her belly until childbirth.

The pregnant woman by going to work risks her life and the life of her baby, especially during the last months of her pregnancy.

The precious help that can be provided is to convince her to stay at home and take care of her health until delivery.

If you were the person responsible for recruitment and you were a woman, you would certainly advise her to stay at home and pay attention to her baby, because as a woman, you know very well, and of course better than me the consequences of such an act (work of a pregnant woman) on her state of health and especially that of the baby in her belly

I'm not a doctor, but that's my opinion.

I do agree with Mr. Nadjib statement and I would like to add women seeking Job while she is pregnant is an additional stress on her as well employer doesn't like to bear the risk to hire pregnant lady that he knows she will leave the work for some time as health issue as well her maternity leave without any placement is an additional cost

Thank you for the invitation

It is related to the laws governing the public and private functions

As well as the laws of the family and civil society

Pregnant women can also be protected by special laws

It is not hidden on the Algerian or Arab legislator

A job is not just a 9 -5 task you attend to, it’s someone passion and dream. I don’t think it’s fair to ask a pregnant lady to give up on their dreams or passion. Yes you need to take extra care of yourself and your baby, but you don’t need to stay at home to do that.  There are many methods to handle stress without effecting pregnancy. Offices should provide extra care for pregnant ladies and encourage staff to do so as well, after all your office is your second home.
