how can you tell if your manager is a Boos or a Leader?
Thanks
There are many points of differences between them we can tell the most important of them
Simple note: there is a thin string between manager and leader ,if the first one follow some steps he will turn into leader directly
in my opinion it's so easy and simple to tell , the boss always say ( do) but the leader who will say ( let's do ) thats it ..
Dear Omar Saad Ibrahem Almadani thank you for the invitation to share my opinion.
First of all, to clear things, the person who decides, to hire you or fire you, who gives you guidelines for your job, decides to grant you a vacation, and the one responsible for your salary is your boss. A boss can be someone in the lower management up to an owner or CEO in larger corporations. Now to be claimed a leader, a boss must be able to inspire, shape the strategy according to everybody's feedback in a team, the person who everybody goes for advice and the one who without much effort can bind different people into a mutual force that can strive for giving better results and feel satisfied in the process.
In plain words, a leader can be a person with the above qualities even if he or she isn't always the boss. On the other hand, many bosses would love to be leaders as well.
This photo best sums up the main difference between a boss and a leader:
The boss dictates what to do and where to go. The leader shows and guides his team with what to do and where to go.
A boss make sure that all steps and procedures are effectively and efficiently carryout to achieve a result.
A leader influence or inspire his followers to act ina specific direction
There is a differnce of approach that makes a difference.
Simple, A boss just gives orders, a leader Start them!
1- Boss gives orders , leaders requests
2-Leaders lead by example , i.e (He will do and then asks you to do the same.)
3-Boss uses the one man show style, leader would negtiate to acheieve best results
4-Boss doesn't share his knowledge or experience so no one of his team would take his place one day, leaders create more leaders
