What is the best Canon lens in the market for macro photography?

I've been using extension tubes and my stock lens to do some macro photography. The results are decent but i'm looking for a lens that can help me move these to a professional level of focus. any suggestions.

The best Canon lens for Macro at the moment would be the Canon MPE-65.
It's an amazing tool! If you're working on a budget, you could try using a reverse ring and a cheaper Canon 50mm 1.8 II lens for a decent looking macro though you'd have to train yourself to be able to find the perfect Depth of Field.
The DOF is very narrow but the results are beautiful :) Also, if you can afford it, the 100mm prime from Canon also offers good Macro abilities, coupled up with extension tubes - and you're good to go!

I confirm Nabil's answer.
I would simply recommend starting with the100mm macro lens, high quality at decent price and easy to use.
And it can be used for many other purposes beyond macro.
The MPE-65 is a great lens, and needs a lot of practice.
Extreme close-up, manual focus, it delivers great results and is quite tricky to use.
Enjoy macro photography.

Canon EOS 100mm f 2.8 IS macro lens Prime. That's what I use Day-in Day-out for my Work and I absolutely LOVE that Lens.

Canon MPE-65 is also among the best lenses with x5 times the magnification. BUT, It's not the most practical lens you'd use often.

Depends on your project requirements, If your shooting Insects or intricate details of given subject then might make sense to use that.

You'd need Focus rails too...

I hope that helps!
