Leader concentrates on relationships .
Boss focuses on hierarchies i.e. " I am above you and I tell you what to do".
A boss creates fear, a leader confidence. A boss fixes blame, a leader corrects mistakes.
A boss knows all, a leader asks questions.
A boss makes work drudgery, a leader makes it interesting.
A boss is interested in himself or herself, a leader is interested in the group.
leaders are corporating with other workers to conduct plan.

Leader, the person who creates the followers, new leaders, strategic plans, general plans, and outlines. or at least one of themWhile Boss (manager) the person who managing those people and plans, by his-her manner to hit the goal aligning with general plan (If the Leader has a level higher than Boss)
Leaders are willing to create more leaders bosses are afraid of it.

Agree with the answer of Mr. Omar Saad.
There is a difference commander is the executor and the president is the outline or the scene
Yes, there are a lot of gaps between a leader and a boss.
1. A person who influences, inspires, supports and encourages a group of individuals, and works continuously on the achievement of goals is a leader but a person who gives orders to employees and behaves in an authoritative way, seeks control and tells his men what to do, is a Boss.
2. A leader fixes the problem, shows what is wrong. But a boss place blame, shows who is wrong.
3. A leader People oriented while a boss profit oriented
4. A leader Prefers to teach employees but a boss Likes to tell employees.
5. A leader has always Followers but a boss has Employees.
All boss are leader but not all leaders are boss
A leader is charismatic, leads by example and provides solution to the problem and works as a team member and accepts failure, encourages participation and gives importance to relations and tasks. While boss gives direction but not solution, is mostly tasks orientated and blame external factors for failure and discourage when employee challenges their decisions.
