How much time it takes to approve a shop drawing?

Usually this time is mention in the contract decoumnets. In my project (Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project) it is 21 days.

IT DEPENDS ON CONTRACT WITH CLIENT OR CONSULTANT OUR PROJECTS HAVE 14 DAYS 

General:

Contractor must submit schedule of submittals within 60 days of the Contract start.

Schedule submitted to Shop Drawing Review Office and EOR.

Submittals should not occur before schedule submittal.

Shop Drawing submittal schedule to allow 45-day review time.

Time commences upon EOR’s receipt.

Time ends upon EOR’s submittal

Generally civil shop drawings take 2-3 days at each level, if there no changes required from the end-user. that is 6-10 days for each drawing. If there are bunch of drawings related to each other, the overall time taken for approval will be reduced.

15 days max starting rom the day recieved.

Based on Planned scheduel and Contract,

from 2  to 15 days ...

Generally, shop drawings are scrutinized at different levels, Namely,

First by the supplier/ contractor himself.

Second by the consultant,

Third by the End-user/ Client.

The time taken depends on the complexity of the drawings.

with in the planned schedule date and Based on final Architectural or Infra approved drawings mechanical and electrical utilities will be coordinate to approved shop drawings with in a week. 

MAXIMUM TWO WEEKS FOR FIRST APPROVAL BUT SHULD BE AVABILITY ALL DESING INFORMATION.

MINIMUM ONE WEEK FOR 2ND APPROVAL

The time between the date recieved and the aprroval date is always will be mentioned in the conratct and it usually be from 7-21 days for the first submittal  and 7 days for the second revision
