As a team leader, what are the most important steps I should take to improve my communication skills?

In my opinion

- Train myself well on how to respect others opinions 

- listen more than speak 

Be articulate, clear, crisp. 

Body language neutral, appealing, non aggressive. 

From a team leader's perspective: always be cheerful, welcoming and ready to listen carefully. Be approachable to the team (set standups everyday, ask what they need)

Don't promise when you are happy and Don't swear when you are angry!!

learn to paraphrase and actively engage in conversation using right body language to deliver your message clearly.
