despite it's hard to give a specific answer for that question as it needs a lot of market research, but most of the principles are applied.the magic of Lean only shows up according to the say "only the last pitch of the nut the tighten the bolt", Lean principles are being applied but not with required discipline to give the major expected benefit
From what I have seen of good manufacturers in the Middle East, they are not consistently applying lean across the entire organization. They use some of the lean tools in a sporadic manner, but it is not a strategic initiative. There is huge scope for application of lean in the Middle East in all kinds of businesses.
