Primary amine occur when one of 3 hydrogen atoms in ammonia is replaced by an organic substituent. So an example could look like H-N-H2 goes to R1 - N - H2 , where R1, and both H are bound to the N. Secondary amine have 2 organic substituent to the N atom and one H. So an example could be R1-N-R2-H , where R1 and R2 and H are all bound to the N
