Complete, prestigious and successful work is something subjective to appreciation. Well in my opinion the perfect one is the one you don't need to explain. Remember this: Good Architecture is the one you don't need to talk about it! ( this evolves all of its aspects)

The end product shall be master peice of value engineering (Qality+Cost) (High Quality and low cost.) Now Quality starts from concept itself At first stage establishing correctly The DBSP (Design Basis Scopic Paper) which freezes the scope and put ends to potential changes which adversely effects the outcome, sets DCR (Design Criteria and Requirements) Once the conceptual foundation is established based on these earlier said documents further design is done, based on them then freezing of the conceptual plan and ETP Lay outs for effctive BMS is done than DCC,IDC, Squad Check and IFC package review ensures the Total design Quality The Material and Design safety with HSE (Health Safety and Environment) Requirements and further ensuring economical design adds to cost reduction. The end product thus gives the valued engineered desired outcome that gives the total satisfaction to customer as the end product can be termed as complete, prestigious and successful work.
It should be practical for the user, in terms of space usage, aesthetically pleasing, environmentally friendly with proper ventilation and of course completed within time and budget constraints.
There are many features that architectural work should have to be called perfect, but most important features are concept, identity, style, and expression of an architect.
all you have said about a building are true but we all forgot about safety and ventilation. i have been in the UAE just several months but i have not been satisfied with the amount of air quality in buildings. This leads to sick building syndrome. beauty and functionality are simply the basics. when we speak of functionality in a building ventilation is the key priority, before the spaces can be fully comfortable. eg. i should be able to sit in a living room without sweating or feeling uncomfortable without putting on air conditioner.
this in turn saves energy. so i think architecture doesn"t just rely on what you have all said.
