I listen while poeple talk, ask questions to clarify my understanding and give feedback to the peraon or people to show my understanding of what they were saying.

Learning their culture and language is very important. Being friendly with simple gestures in their native dialect and willingness to teach your language and culture when asked to and having an easy-going personality and do not forget to smile
