What are some of the biggest mistakes committed by companies in the Computer Industry?

I think one of the biggest mistake committed by a company in computer industry that still got an effect till now is the story of IBM and Microsoft, IBM used commodity hardware to build the PC and not striking the correct licensing agreement with Microsoft meant that Microsoft could sell Windows based PCs anywhere and make money without giving back IBM any royalty.
Three decades later, IBM has shut down its PC business while Microsoft still dominates the industry.
For sure there are many mistakes committed everyday, but I think this one is one of the biggest.
