Simply.... Leader is the person who could create followers

Someone who leads from the front.  has a vision. shares the vision.  accepts diversity and cultures as positives.  includes everyone in the implementation of the vision.  develops the team for their growth.  keeps abreast of what is going on in the market.  Takes responsibility for slip ups.  accepts critism.  Motivates team.  Pushes team to the edge to raise the bar and bump up their confidence.  does not discriminate based on caste, religion, colour, nationality, etc.  fair to one and all.  fun to work with.  invests in training of staff.  communicates well enough.  takes care of slow performers adn works on them instead of discarding them off.  transparent.
