Well, I have to do the following: 

• Search about any related information according this city 
• If that city use different language, I have to learn some words ( basic words) or get dictionary. 
• Study their market well financially. 
• Check our product - service situation at that city.
• Check our office - branch ; situation, structure, employees relation.
• Ask about responsibilties, scope of my authorty. 

1 - Know the financial budget of the client 2. Know the travel history and how long the trip takes 3 - listening to the wishes of the client and the destinations he prefers 4 - know the hobbies and activities that he want the client to do and landscapes that he prefers 5 - I try to choose one of the destinations desired by the client and be suitable for the budget that he set for travel 6 - searching for housing options according to the social situation and the number of travelers and the favorite view of the rooms 7 - After finishing the accommodation start booking airlines and trying get the best quality and less expensive 8. After completing the booking of the airlines start booking tickets for the transfer from the city to a city within a single state if the client wishes to do so 10 - Give the client a guide to the most important tourist attractions and restaurants 11- I wish him a happy trip and the contact me if an emergency happened, God forbid, by giving him a business card that carries the contact information

I usually make my own travel plans and itenary when travelling for holidays.

That includes booking most convenient hotels,booking flights based on preference,mode of travelling in the city , restaurants available and places to visit based on location .Also keep handy maps of the place and knowing a bit about the people culture and difficulties.
