One of the biggest ERP implementation challenges is getting users and functional groups to change their ways in order to work with the new solution. Driving this change requires strong project management and backing from senior leadership. To develop the new system, the organization needs a committed project team that represents all users of the ERP platform. This ensures the software will support the needs and business processes of all departments across the company.
I feel ERP Implementations is one of the most easiest things to do from technical stand point. The hard thing is the get people to leave the old ways of doing things and make them use the new sytems is something which needs effort.
To get around this, customise the erp to an extend where the use is eager to jump to the new and leave the old behind.
Some people may argue we should not customise. But through my experience i feel whats the use of wearing clothes that dont fit you properly. And unless we do not customise the software we will not get an edge over our competitors.
An ERP aligns our business processes and helps us to get useful and real-time insights for the business.
Done right, a new ERP implementation can dramatically improve business processes. But when an implementation fails huge amounts of money and effort could be misspent.
Sorry i do not have an idea about the ERP implementation ..
Thanks for invitation,
