Sitting upright in the chair, holding eye contact with the interviewer, no awkward mannerisms [pulling at your hair/nose/ears] etc. answer any questions with a very brief pause [to demonstrate you are thinking about the question posed] not too long. Nodding slightly,to demonstrate understanding of the question being asked. Do not interrupt the interviewer, but wait until he / she has finished speaking. At the end of the interview if asked if you have any questions?..if no questions?..say something like "I think you answered any questions I had in mind" etc.
Confident starts from the face. Smile, eye contact, nodding at the right remarks and the right facial expressions and gestures at the right time. Secondly the body posture, mindfully maintain the body posture throughout the engagement. Stand up straight or sit straight with the chin up and finally maintain moderately gestures at the right time.
Tone of voice is another aspect, if it is involved with the verbal communication. Have it firm, clear and loud enough with the element of respect and respected.
With practice, it tends to be spontaneous.
There are many ways to express your confidence but I believe that whether you're standing, walking or just sitting, keeping your head and shoulders up is the best way to do it.
