In my openion, and in a very brief wording:
Negotiation success: is the negotation in which all parts achieving their objectives i.e win-win situation.
when you get what you want or close to what you want
When you achieve:
- absolutely everything you ever wanted out of the deal
- at a lower cost than you imagined possible
- plus a whole bunch of other useful stuff you weren't expecting
- and the other party is desperate to do business with you again because they have done so well out of the negotiation
The more complex the deal, the easier this is to achieve. (It's very hard to do if you're buying a cup of tea.)
Reaching a common ground, win-win.
