Why Customer is always right , We know that customer is wrong .
Customer is always right because they are the only source of profits.. When an organization strategy is to generate profits and to retain vast base of clients, then "Customer comes first"..
Plus, the products and services are provided to fulfill customers needs. if they fail to meet the customers needs, then the product/service will be considered as low quality, and then the organization will go downhill.
however, unlike the old days, when the organizations used to make production based on customers needs, nowadays organizations are so powerful that they are able to create needs out of the nothing and instill those needs at a segment of prospects, and bring those prospects attention to this new creation, and convince them that it is a need to buy this new creation.
therefore, the "wrong" customer is the one who is not educated about a need, while the "righ" one is the one who is fully educated about the need (by marketing messages) and proceeds to buy them..
I believed that customer first but not always right..
RIGHT / truth is a comparitI've word, not an absolute word. what is right for me can be wrong for other, because perspectives differs. eg. which hand driving is right? right hand or left hand. The answer depends on the perspective... where you are driving in UAE or in India.
customer is right according to his perspectives. He can be wrong as per your's / other's perspectives.
so, why we say Customer is ALWAYS right?
business existence depends on customers, hence business approach should be customer centric. so when customer says something, which is against your business perspective (not right), customer centric business approach suggest business to think/feel the rationality of the customer perspective, and then act accordingly.
I will conclude it by suggesting, instead of believing customer is right, try to understand why customer feel he is right. It will transform you from a reactive business to proactive business, hence more customer delight
The customer is not always right, but they are the customer. So if they are wrong, let them be wrong with dignity and respect.
The customer may not always be right, but the customer always has the money.
