Ms project is common and primavera has more capabilities

It is not a single software, but it is a system, I recommend Team Foundation server, Share point, Ms SQL, Ms Project, Crystal Report, and MS Exchange.

The best one I used is Microsoft Project.

Ther are widely used softwares like Microsoft MSProject and Primavera.
they are the market leaders in sales and customer wise.
Now we have lot of cloud based Project management softwares as well.
Please select a software that suits your projects and your organization.
i know a lot of veterans in Project management, manage their projects with Excel.
