You can use the "move" or "m" command to drag and drop objects in Autocad. You will have to select a base point for the object or objects and drag it to anywhere in the drawing. Or you can enter the displacement distance before releasing the move command. You will have move the the cursor towards the direction to which you need the object to go. Also you can turn ON the ortho by pressing F8 key, so your object will be moving only in right angles (orthogonal).
