The question is vague, it depends on what the issue is that needs to be resolved. it depends on who the person is, and the track record of the person, the best way to have any issue resolved, is to find the root cause of what caused the issue to come up and become an issue. there is an old saying:"do not judge a person if you have not walked a mile in his shoes", so figuratively speaking, walk a mile in his or her shoes, try to understand what brought about the turn of events that the matter became a HR matter. no two people are alike, or react the same to any given situation, often it is a minor miss-understanding that snow balls and escalates to a situation that could of been curbed by simply adressing the root cause, removing vague mis-interpretations and clearly defining the objectives to be achieved by an individual. i hope my answer will help you out Lana Oudeh
