I would like to believe that each individual need marketing skills. Personal brands are important thing and how one manages and develops it is very important. Just think of an easy game, think of a collogue and try to describe him/ her in a word or two. This is what he/ she is associated with. This is the brand he/she carries.

Now if the words that you associate with are trust, dependable, go-to person etc. when you pitch an idea inside your company, the automatic association of what you are proposing is associated with these qualities and hence selling of the concept becomes easy.
