Web Development is related to the development of wedsites which can be generally view by all and App development is related to the development of application in mobile for personnel and security for customers to use it

web development runs on server which is apache IIS server .where the app development runs on PC and laptop which have exe file, while the web app have no exe file

web and app (desktop/mobile) development differs in many ways, however to simplify it in few words. Development, Deployment and Updates, and Service Delivery is key difference. Techincal Features may differ as well, but output may same for both. Think of games which runs seamless on many different platforms.

In Web Development There is Web Application develope and hosted in in the respected servers like apache,iis etc

But in app development there is perticular application development and there is and executable file format

but in web app there is no exe file .

Web is universal and platform independent/ free application, mean web-application or web-apps may execute perfectly in any OS who has modern WEB Browsers..

app is like a desktop application which is mostly dependent on OS.

Features may not wide different but web app must have http or https protocol whether app development depends on OS platform.
