What is cross functional management ? How do you think a business leader say a General Manager should be prepared to lead a cross functional team ?

Cross functional managent is a role of GM or COO, CEO or MD of the organization. Managing cross functional team, the Manager should be qualified and understand well most of the functional issues and their role responsiblity. Once he understands, he can lead them to set their direction and expect results as per the business goals or otherwise his team any function not perform well will impact total result of the company.
