It is not good to dominate any staffs.
We have to give them feedback and handle them towards the better performance.

Junior staffs are the once that does the bulk of the work while we manage their activities and extend knowledge to them to be more proactive, the word dominant is just slavery in my own terms which is not needed in any organization for better productivity of any departmental result.
With Team work we can achieve more.

Yes, junior staffs need too much supervision and direction.
this will ensure safety of employee and others , and ensure their competency level and ability to work independently.

Dominating any staff will cause a lot of motivation issues which will eventually lead to low efficiency and even lower productivity.
It is extremely important to keep employees engaged and motivated in order to achieve the company goals.
The best option would be to empower employees, hold them responsible for their actions but at the same time, give them ownership of the work they do.
The sense of ownership in an employee automatically increases their dedication towards the work they are doing and positive changes will been seen.
A recent study by the Human Resource Leadership Council suggests that a motivated employee has87% of being more productive than a demotivated employee.
The same study also suggested that a motivated employee is likely to improve his/her productivity by20% as opposed to a demotivated employee.
For me, the biggest demotivating factor would be when my boss starts dominating me.

Dominate them.
But the domination must drive them to the companies objective rather than their own objective

Yes domination is good, if you are looking for ;

 - Less motivated team.

 - Want to kill confidence.

 - Have lack of creativity and trust in your team.

 - Looking for delay and expedite errors.

 - Higher turn-over.

 - Having bad mouth for yourself and ultimately for the organization.

Much to add because, I worked under such (ill)manager who ultimately side line from the job. But I must mention Domination is good but for having domination first win the team confidence, build them and then they'll be ready to accept your domination.

An organization will achieve its goal when there is co-operation , collaboration, mutual understanding between employees.
It will happen when you have a good motivational, leadership skill.
Rather than dominating the employees try to show them the perfect direction, take feedback from them, share the knowledge with the employees which will increase the productivity of the employees.
