It depends either by words or by pages if you are freelancing it's more related to WHOM you are working with... Translation is too tricky, sometimes you have to price by the time it takes to finish the job...
I only follow this rules :
- I don't need to get all the business I quote, I don't fear losing the assignment because I estimate that my price is too high.
Take your time, estimate the needed time to do the job and to do it correctly, if your client is accepting all your quotes, then may be they are too low.

first of all , it depends on type or material to be translated, second on targeted deadline as urgent projects render higher fees,third on the entity or body for which translation shall delivered ,e.g multinational company versus local firms.
