China with a5%+ rate of growth is now competing with the US for the global limelight. Japan is still a strong player in the far east alsong with SKorea. In Europe Germany is the main powerhouse least affected by recession. Brazil, SouthAfrica are the rising economies in their own region. The Gulf region has not been affected by recession.
