What is the first thing you do in the first day of a new job?

Introduce yourself among your colleagues, try to understand the work environment and try to understand what organzation expect from you.  Mark your short term and long term objective at the organization you have just joined, because it is your firstday today.  You would not have much time after this to do this assignment.

Know you Team Work, your Dept. your Colleagues. Study your Job Description very well. Organize yourself and your priorities for paper works. 

make the fresh eye evaluation and note it for future development , and not only for first day but first month i should listen more than i speak

First have a site induction and pass through access control then meet the people you will be working with and then hopefully get a tour of the office, building, complex you will be working in.

starting my day praying for god to help me and be always with me and go to my work with a hopeful smile and try to identify my office and the employeesand decide to Proficient on my work :)

Scale, observe & adapt.

first pray for your new job and enjoy meet other people and be courteous. always start your job with a smile.

I always Try to Listen more than talk as i don't know about the operations about the company even if i am expert in my sections but every company always have its own internal policy.

Listen and act causously.  Try to do what you think is right! The company has employed you to makle a difference, so start to make one. However, do not come in all over confident and expect to change everything quickly as this will just wind your new co workers up and distance you from the boss.

See your team, your colleagues, your supervisors to get a introduction and to understand the organisation structure and work culture in general
