if i where a company owner with1Thousand employee and i want to make network with the lowest budget should i get cloud first i must not buy Professional PCs i can buy the cheapest PCs on Earth ,2nd i may make my network wireless so nothing gone happens to my infrastructure of my company ,3rd one router with one proxy server will be enough so if i have one or2 administrators that would be more than i dream so are you in danger as network engineers
the dangerousity lay in how to apply it for which business (Private Cloud or Public) in (Banking Sector, Government etc....) if you impleminted the right Cloud Type for the business there is no danger in this. only benefits you will gain
Good about the cloud is another back up.. the bad thing what if the subscription stops... ouch what will happen to archives..
In cloud , you may lose control on privacy , this is the risk
i guess u need to invest in building privacy policies if you chose to get cloud
it depends on the company's needs, and the Data Center prices, if I went to cloud and they start increasing the prices every contract renewal, I will think twice.. in addition to the main issue in my oppenion.. which is (support) if their suuport handles my issues perfectly with the lowest down time.. I'll be happy to be in cloud..
but I think for the startup companies, it will be the easier choce..
about feeling risk.. no I don't.. because the need will trnsfer from the end user to the ISP.. so no worries about it
use windows2012 datacneter with Hyper-V and buy the terminal (it is small a cheap way to access installed client OS installed in2012 Hyper-V) with usb/lan/VGA /HDMI sound and some tims with RS232) to access the virtual machine, recommended server is IBM OPEN POWER
Cloud (virtualization) is the coming technology which will save space and money for your server room and will be managed easy than manage physically Servers.
Backup and restore will be easy and in just minutes inn case of failure
in my point if view, the best cloud systems is VMWare i have worked with it more than4 years and it is perfect in managing, backup and restore.
Cloud may be able to answer what you require but the information provided is not enough to really make a decission. The exact requirements of any particular business must be analysed in depth before taking any decision.
There is no doubt in cloud being the technology of choice of the future but you first need to know exactly what you are looking to achieve with it. There are multiple types of Cloud (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS etc) with multiple hosting option (private, public, hybrid).
Regardless of any model you choose, it essentially changes the way it IT is managed, everything is a service when it comes to cloud. it is recommanded that you write down your requirements and then map them to your required soloution which may or may not be cloud.
I believe to have private cloud for critical data and application to maintain business continuity with lower the operational cost. while you can have hybrid or public cloud for non critical application and data.
Risk factor is higher for data privacy and what will happen if your subscription is finish or you don't want to renew then data privacy will be question mark.
