We should know that foreign migration to any country is directly proportional to the job market. A healthy rate is always when the local side is substantially higher than the migrants, but this doesn't happen in most of the GCC countries. This will lead to uncertainity in future generations and both the labour department as well as the immigration dept will be forced to change policies to accomodate the rising unemployment fear among the youths. So, Emaritization or Saudization or Kuwaitization, is solely replacing the ageing expats with locals, and ensuring the number of expats are curbed to eventually form a healthy ratio. Westerners are less affected as they have more bilateral and defense trade with these countries. Plus, people who spend and shop more are always liked by any country.
NC.
Giving more importance to emirati nationals other then expats yes it certainly effects job market as if someone who has30 year experience and living in emirates cant get local nationality so only nationals will be considrered for jobs. Only i guess in expats more western people are considered or people from philipines so other nationalities who doesnt have arabic knowledge doesnt have much scope in getting jobs.
If there are more opportunities in Emirati job market for expats in future then expats will apply more as it was earlier. I hope I am not offending anyone here
