like syria my country or egypt also my country in general we didn't have standard for electrical wiring or installation but we follow the National Electrical Installation Standards (NEIS) or european standerds IEC60364 or USA standerds ( NEC )
Anyway, I understand every country has their own unique policies and rules. You have to know your governments policies and regulations pertaining to construction and especially in electrical field. Know the branch in your government that handles regulations in construction and public works and some Electrical organizations. Anyway to be general, you can adopt US and British standards and other international standards like IEC, NEMA, etc. where most countries are accepting and implementing. I hope to give you some ideas.
