Director of the project: What are the procedures followed to the completion of the project properly with high quality without exceeding the deadline?

I am  a certieid project director (CPD) myself , and I focus on such things as

2. Project Portfolio Management (PPM) for collections of5-10 projects per portfolio belonging to a vertical department (organization-wise) or to a complete cross-function service that crosses several different departments/functions

5. Organizational Project Management Maturity Model  (OPM3) assessment and improvement
6. Project Manager Competency Assessment (PMCA) assessment and improvement
7. Project selection, acceptance and prioritization criteria
8. Project Management alignment with corporate strategic planning
9. Project, Program and Portfolio Management (P3M) topics
10. Adopting Business Process Management (BPM) and Balanced Scorecard (BSC) techniques in P3M

That's almost all about it ..  Controlling the qualuity and time considerations with a highly complex / large size / high risk project requires lots of considerate thinking, planning and supervisory control throughout the execution of project including high discipline risks and issues mangement,  effective executive sponsorship to quickly and effectively resolve issues, ... etc
