Given the SPD and SAD, explain the processing of a user packet whether protected by IPSec or unprotected in both inbound and outbound directions?

IPSec VPN employs special databases in order to keep track of protected (encrypted) traffic. Each database is responsible for specific functions to do on a user traffic.
