Is it possible to generate power by using 9V battery to use in an Independent house for all appliances at home?

I would like to know that is it possible to create a mini generator to use all home appliances without using external power source.

yes if you use inverters and transformer

you must have many units of9 volt batteries to have the required load amper

that will be through inverter

i.e  you will use  ups to generate power inside the house in the absence of the city power

well, usually the battery voltage is12Vdc or24Vdc.

9Vdc battery is small. it will not supply power as long as you want.

if you want to generate power in your house, at least you mush have3 pcs battery with100Ah12Vdc. Thoose battery will supply power for10 pcs10watt lamp for12 hour/day,100 watt TV for8hour/day,125 watt Refrigrant24 hour (only1/3 of total power due to compressor not always ON). and others100 watt for5 houir/day.  Also you must have Inverter12VDC to AC, its better use inverter sine wave1000watt.

Power is product of voltage and current, voltage alone can be step up by using invertor and transformer but what about current, it is not possible to get power from a single battery although you may get the voltage for a small time period, how ever power is not possible.

9 V DC battay has small current and the voltage drop very fast to7.2 v and in this condation you need many cells to products good current also you need adapter to convert to12v DC then inverter to convert220 v Ac and i think it's epensive but it's possible

The answer to your question depends on the AH rating of your9v Battery. You can operate all your appliances if the AH rating of your battery is high. You could build an inverter to convert9V DC to230V AC using a transformer. Still there is one more limitation, neglecting the power factor and losses , assume your full load current drawn is16Amps. Then secondary inverter power is230*16=3680W.

so neglecting powerfactor, duty cycle of inverter and losses, input current to inverter is3680/9=408 Amps. which is practically difficult to control, better use some9V high AH batteries in series in primary side.

Typical load of an urban house is around3 kW (without the air conditioner). Assuming that all the appliances are run24 hours the total energy requirement per day is72 kWhr. Now let us assume that the ampere hour capacity of the9 V battery is100 Ah. So the energy storage capacity of a single battery is900 Wh or0.9 kWhr. Now if we divide the total energy requirement of72 kWhr by the energy storage capacity of a single battery we get the required number of batteries72/0.9 =80. That is80 batteries of9 V and100 Ah are required to run all the appliances for24 hours.

Dear Venkateshurle

well, The ampere or the Capacity of this9v battery is the key in that generator design

All the batteries have a capacity specified by mah " Mill Ampere per hour", as a general rule, "as much as this mah of the battery, as longer time the battery handle the load"l

So it is possible ," Only at Emergencies need of Electricity",  by connecting this battery to inverter circuit which has a transformer to output 220acv ,50h

From9v battery, and as much ampere is that transformer as more home appliances can be

connected to the generator

So you can estimate the consumption amperes of the home appliances you have, and according to the total ampere , you choose the transformer

In addition to that, the battery will need to be recharged, using solar panels, or the home electricity when it is available, to be ready for feeding the inverter circuit at time of use,f

and For independent use of this generator from9v battery, i don't think this possible, because the dc voltage of the battery is low, and so the capacity will be low, and that maybe possible with high voltage batteries, and high capacities, and at the same time Continuous recharging of the battery , when the ampere of it is consumed by the home appliances

and using another energy source, such as the solar energy, so at that time independent generator

for home may handle the home need of electricity

Good Luck, and Good idea

Yes but you will need A BUNCH ! and a inverter!
