In my opinion, the project management professional have to have the skills enough for to be able to manage any project (IT, Construction, Manafacturing and so on). The skills are similar only changes the application of the methodology within project.
The project managments skills itis the same for any project but the different in construction need also more efforts and movments in wide ares in the project side and consultant offices and the company owner offices. but most of IT movments inside his building many times with his equipments in servers room.
thank you

Though the basic technical skill sets require similar to an extent (planning, sourcing, execution, etc. But the basic and most important element, HR is completely different in Construction and IT section. You can guess the difference. Apart from this, the actual technical knowledge (educational background) varies a lot.
So.. NO, it is not same to be a PM for Infosys and a PM with L&T.
Project Management can be applied to any project including construction.
There would not be introduced "Aglie Project Management" if same skills would be required for both project types.
P.S. you may observe higher percentage of civil engineers in Project Management trainings and workshops :)
Project management is not industry specific , it is same anywhere and can be applied within the construction and other indusries.
it is all about projects, it can be applied wherever a project exists.
it is just the project manager should have knowledge and exp in construction in order to handle construction projects
Not all skills, there are skills specific to each discipline.
In theory, yes you can transfer your project management skills across any industry (construction or IT)
However, personally and from my own experience it never happened this way. Every employer expecting the project manager to act as "technical advisor/expert" so without technical background you won't be selected
In High level, steps of project management may be same - Initiating, Planning, Execution, Evaluation, Signoff. But, I think project management skills of IT and construction cannot be same.
IT Project manager has role of understanding the clients business process and establishing a project framework which is totally different ball game. You need to be business process specialist with an idea of IT software development ideas.
In Construction, project manager's roles is assessing what customer needs and establishing project path based on the technicalities of construction work.
PMs in both the fields cant work by exchanging their role, without brushing their knowledge completely!!
there are skills that are similar in some point of view, like the decision making skills, technical skills like attention to details, though i can not pinpoint exactly the accuracy of the similarities but there is something between them that exist... anyone to elaborate?
YES if the project are approach using the old ways, e.g. planning, design, work breakdown structure, MOSCOW etc.
NO if the the project is more specific to the field, e.g. IT has agile or even Scrum wherein there's a timebox delivery in the stage of the project or sprint review of minimum viable product (MVP) whereas in construction it might not exist at all.
Of course yes
