One Should Not add his/her Personal Pic unless asked , secondly peoples with gaps in their post qualifications experience are discourged everytime
Personally, I just move right through CV's that aren't well formatted, some CV's are hurtful to look at and I don't dive in to search for the info that relates to the position I'm hiring for, Presentation is very very important and a lot of people don't really show any effort on that part.
1-Grammer/Language mistakes are the most common mistakes in CV's.
Supposedly instead of impressive objective to input; much better if put a job description and details of work?
Being a recruiter and receiving hundreds of resume in few days, I can’t concentrate on each and every line but what I feel that candidates intentionally or sometime unintentionally didn’t provide the details in their resume which are;
1 –Don’t provide Date of Birth, it is very important as age matters.
2 –Name of the institution: some candidates didn’t provide the exact name of the institute where they studied during university or college and they just mention general degree name.
3 – Duration of the past experience: Many experienced candidates did not mention the starting and ending dates of their past job and due to this we cannot find their career history. It is always better to provide the month and year of the past jobs.
4 – Cell #: sometime candidates change their cell# and when I called them this situation is very odd, it is better to mentioned a2nd option or at least keep your active number, in case of no contact, I’ll drop an email so do mentioned your email address too.
5 – Colorful resumes: I collected some unusual resumes and they are like full of pictures animation and icons, this seems unprofessional and shows the candidate personality being professional.
The above are few core pointers though there is many others but this what I want to share here.
