Mentoring is the art of passing down a particular trait or training to another person. It deals with coaching, training and advising a person on a trait for development.

A mentor is the person in charge (the trainer, coach, adviser) while a 'mentee' is the person receiving the training, coaching or support.

Mentoring deals with training and coaching.

A mentor is the person who provides training and coaching. A mentoree is the person who receive that training.

Mentoring is an art to share knowledgeable thought with others.

A Mentor plays a role to guide, to give advice, and to support the mentee.

A good mentoring relationship provides mentees with valuable knowledge and expertise in the field.

Mentoring refers to a developmental relationship between a more experienced mentor and a less experienced partner referred to as a mentoree (sometimes vernacularized into mentee) or protégé. It is a one-to-one relationship based on encouragement, constructive comments, openness, mutual trust, respect, and a willingness to learn and share

Mentoring is a structured and trusted relationship. It is an intentional relationship structured for a specific length of time around mutually agreed upon goal of guiding, supporting, and encouraging the development of the mentee.

Mentors are mature or recognized teachers/scholars in their field and usually higher up the organizational ladder than their mentee. A mentor is someone who takes a special interest in helping another person to develop into a successful professional. Good mentors are able to share life experiences and wisdom, as well as technical expertise. They are good listeners, good observers, and good problem-solvers.
