1- Wordpress is a bog system, but with some additions can be used as a good CMS. 2- I have my concerns of not using one of the above for performance. Will explain later. 3- All of them work as add-on framework. The question remains, which one?

The one who work with WordPress will tel you that WordPress is the best
The one who work with Joomla will tel you that Joomla is the best
The one who work with Drupal will tel you that Drupal is the best
When I start with CMS I start with WordPress [ I love WordPress ] , then Joomla [ I found that it is very powerful and strong ] , then Drupal you will understand it after WordPress and joomla

Then you will learn how to make the back end of those MVC applications , back end is the administration panel of those application that mean you will develop similar application like wordpress or joomla or drupal some day
Here is what I can tell you from my experience.
These three are the dominating CMS tools in the market. Since I have worked in the journalism industry, I can tell you there are many CMS in that industry that can be useful to the everyday public. One such, is called NewsScoop by SourceFabric, it is an open source project.
Personally, the diversity, plugins, themes for WordPress is unparalleled. I would suggest you stick to it.
All are important CMS. but it is only depends on our thinking and creativity.
All3 are good... my fav is Wordpress as there are many plugins and add-on avialable online than Joomla or Dupral. Wordpress has good supporting team too.
