Maintaining the quality of the sale products is my preference.Because it helps to make customer satisfaction and so sale will increase day after day and not be stopped.
Quality
Every product has its own quality and market value, so neither the product quality not the marketing whether fake or genuine is the factor to increase the sales. Selling only increases with the effective implementation of sales process. There is a sales process for every product, that's why we need to concentrate first some period in recognizing our real customers, then the ways to reach them and then the ways to satisfy them with the product though the quality of the product is lower but there are ways to satisfy like knowing about the influencers, mentors and decision makers of the customers.
I guess you mean increase in selling, right ?
From my perspective, Marketing shouldn't be fake ever, some start-ups might use fake ways to market their goods, but for a healthy strategy you should be honest to your clients, to get loyalty back from them.
So I think you should work on parallel for both products Quality, and Honest effective marketing.
Quality of course, for example some Brands don't need any publicity.
