Hearing means you have heard something, a noise or the person speaking,
Listening is when you have identified the noise and/or understood what the person has said or is saying. I heard them but did not listen to the conversation.
It's like looking but not seeing - I looked at them but did not see what they were doing.

Listening is the deliberate hearing.
i.e. each listening is a hearing but not all hearing is listening.
If some one hase the capability to listen, then he/she has a good communication skill
Hearing is unintentionaly, when we are at workplace, home or commuting, we do hear various form of communication but listening is alway with purpose. When an employee want to share his greivance, we have to listen him carefully rather than hearing.
Do you think there is a difference between hearing and listening? You are right, there is! Hearing is simply the act of perceiving sound by the ear. If you are not hearing-impaired, hearing simply happens. Listening, however, is something you consciously choose to do. Listening requires concentration so that your brain processes meaning from words and sentences. Listening leads to learning.
Most people tend to be "hard of listening" rather than "hard of hearing."
you can just distuingish these two by:
LISTENING - you are intended to listen to someone conveying an information to you
HEARING - you just caught an information unintentionally, or the information is not directly conveyed to you, you just unintentionally hear it.
