Why is M&E plan very important in policy, program, and/or project cycle?

Any action without M&E component is like operating without benchmark to measure performance. M&E helps in telling how far we have reached a desired or set goal, whether achieved objectives, which strategy has worked to inform decisions, policy and programming processes as well shared good practices with other key players.

Because whenever we develop a policy, programme and/or plan to start a project we set our goals to achieve. And in order to achive those goals we take action.

Now to evaluate our actions against what is desired to be achived we need and M&E plan.
