Do you love meeting new people, and naturally tend to ask lots of questions after you've been introduced to someone? If so, you have a certain degree of empathy, one of the main components of emotional intelligence. Highly Empathetic People (HEPs) -- those who are extremely attuned to the needs and feelings of others, and act in a way that is sensitive to those needs -- have one important thing in common: They're very curious about strangers and genuinely interested in learning more about others.
Coming from sales and marketing background it is seconds nature for me to strive to meet new people and build rapport with them on personal and professional levels.
Building rapport with new people is an asset and added value to me.
Miss Nadia
I am fond of meeting new people and ask questions which are situational, relevant, tolerable and open ended ,meeting people has remained a part of life for two decades now, since I emanate from sales/marketing it has helped me in building up my social circle and rapport. However the success of maintaining comfortable relations with people depends upon the sincerity which one carries and licidity in your communication with the new acquaintance.
I love meeting new people. I want to learn from these people through their experiences. However I ask various and numerous questions to them only when I think it's the right time and they are not feeling awkward. I limit my questions to recently introduced person, I save my questions to a latter meeting.
Yes Nadia, it is in the human nature to learn and explore about the people around us. Each person has different set of skills and expertise through whch he or she is facing the daily challenges of life.
In the working environment it is not advisable to have "Love": which is unproductive and unhealthy for any organisation. The professional relationship to achieve a common business goal should be the core objective and the mission.
I love meeting new people and I tend to ask them questions but the number of questions depends largely on their responsiveness and the precense of common interests.
Always I Love to. And always try to make people talk more about themselves without asking many questions. Simple example - without asking home, wife, son - daughter, asking, whats about your family ? Listening is more important hence I follow that. Small questions in less words can be added as question while the person is talking. And usually once people tell abouth themselves they will give time to ask about the opposite one.
Curiosity is a human nature especially when you are meeting with new people, when you like him/her at the first meeting. You want to know more about. It's not learning more about others - it's knowing more about others !!
By the way you have repeated your question times to know more about us ;)
yes i love to meet new people most of the time i asking question and introduce myself also .i think in this way i make a social contact with so many people its help for mu business and get new opportunity in my carrer also.one more benefit icarries and licidity in my communication with the new acquaintance, improve my self confidence
