Yes Life is meaningful and my meaning for life would be moving forward with positiveness and living in harmony and peace. If we have set goals we have a meaning to life and to get close to goals we have to strive hard and help is needed by loved ones
1- Adopt a mission
2- Determine objectives
3- Give and help others
Thats more of a philosophical question. All I would mention is, life itself is a concept which even if defined, wouldn't exist beyond a point, perhaps the meaning would be not to define it hence and move forward with a positive outlook not judging the other forms of life around us. As for the purpose, its all destined. This, my opinion is just for your question and it has nothing to do with any belief system.
I agree. I see that how much being missed is an effective measure of one's life meaning as seen by others. I also see that having clear goals and working to achieve those goals gives meaning to the self.
Life has a meaning,do you agree?...............yes.I agree with you. What is your life's meaning?...........................First of all, I am educated myself to make the meaningful life by the help of the parents.Secondlly,I am working for making the meaningful life of my childern and parents.Thirdly.this kind of whole process will be set the goals, opportunities and ultimatly to make the meaningful life for ourself, some time for Society and some time for Nation.
Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
For me the meaning or purpose of life is to GIVE it back to the society what one has acquuired through his experience , knowledge.
Life has a meaning, do you agree? What is your life's meaning? how can we make our life's meaningful?
Life has a meaning, do you agree?
Dear Amer, this is the most fundamental question we all must ask of ourselves some time or the other in life! When one asks this question something deep within is stirred and we struggle to answer. One has to reach out to SELF and the leading question is who am I ?
Someone else has beautifully expressed as follows when asked is there meaning to life:
“ To answer this one must first ask "Is there meaning in the very moment we are in?" Only each individual moment has merit. While we have the ability to chain these moments together into a sought after chain, we also have to remember that we can also choose to leave them as random links that don't measure up to very much at all. What we do with our links determines the answer. It will be different for everyone who responds. No two chains will be exactly the same and all of the chains make for much variety and diversity.
I believe, based on this perspective, that there is meaning in life. Life should not be based on death. To do this is to never enjoy summer because winter is on its way or never to eat because you'll just get hungry again later. Life is now, life is unpredictable possibilities and absorbing, learning and acknowledging those things that make a difference to us...in this very moment...we fit another link to the chain.”
What is your life's meaning ? there is no predetermined meaning to life – it is up to us to try to make our lives meaningful. As individuals we have to find what values or goals or occupations will give our own lives meaning. And as communities and societies we have to find how best to work together to build meaningful futures.
The answers will be different for everybody, but the things that have helped many people find meaning in their lives include: feeling that their occupation is worthwhile or helpful to others; having a religious belief or a value system which gives meaning; being in touch with the natural world; or simply each day reminding themselves what they are thankful for.
how can we make our life's meaningful? I wish to quote Sri Sri Ravishnakar, the founder of Art of Living Foundation in my quest to find an answer to this profound question
“Human evolution has two steps - from being somebody to being nobody;and from being nobody to being everybody. This knowledge can bring sharing and caring throughout the world.” ― Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
I believe if one attempts whole heartedly to transforming oneself from a somebody to nobody , one is already embarking on the path to making one’s life meaningful .
When one attains the elusive stage of being a nobody, one is actually seeing oneself in every body and is in an exalted and rarified field of not making any differentiation as to me, him or her or them. He or she starts seeing GOD in every body and starts sharing and caring for the general good of everybody and society in general towards realizing the goal of what is known as “vasudaiva kutumbakam” or the “world is one family” where everyone lives a stress free life and a life of non violence. Another of Sri Sri Ravishankar’s quote throws further light on life and self
Life without wisdom is incomplete
Wisdom that does not give rise to feelings is incomplete
Feeling that does not translate into action is incomplete
Action that does not give rise to fulfillment is incomplete
Fulfillment is returning to SELF
I have sincerely attempted to answer this difficult question. I hope you will find the inputs somewhat satisfying at the least!
To live my life righteously with the belief that there is an after-life where I will be held accountable for my deeds here. It becomes meaningful once I share and help others towards achieving their objectives and goals in life.
Life definelty has a meaning. I my view life may be used to accumulate as many GOOD DEEDS as possible.
Nothing has a definite "meaning" by itself . It's you who defines the meaning of life . If you think that life has a meaning then it has . Life is all you make of it . You have all the answers within yourself .
