Generally, people say, money buys happiness. If this is considered true, then what buys sadness? If i is false, please explain.

Yes its true money can buy happiness and same buys sadness also as once you have too much money you will surely loose your sleep. You will be always thinking of money and you will start ignoring your loved ones , you will become so much doubtful and will not trust anyone as you will think they are here to take away you money as its comes with insecurity as well.

So money can bring happiness in good way and sadness if you cant handle it well.

Money contributes to happiness, but it can not buy it. Happiness and sadness are there in people's lives. No one can feel happy all the time, and no one can feel sad all the time. Happiness and sadness are not permanent states. Some people say that happiness is from the inside out. I'd say that it is both from the inside out and from the outside in. You can not make yourself feel happy if what is happening on the outside impacts you negatively.  No one would want to feel sad, and no one would like to buy sadness. However, sadness takes place in our lives, and so does happiness. We feel happy sometimes, and we fee sad sometimes, too. Of course, not all people are equally happy or equally sad. Happiness and sadness are in degrees. Some people experience happiness more than others, and so do some people sadness. 

If money buys happiness, Desire, greediness, enimity and jealousy buy sadness.

Mony doen't necessarily buys happiness, it how you use it. On the other hand, I see that lack of money will lead to problems which might end to sadness especially, in the absence of faith. With some issues you need to get religeous.

It depends on what is happiness and sadness to you...money can never bye happiness to you as in my opinion happiness for me is the peace of mind and heart which can not be bought with money however money makes your life easier and to somewhat brings happiness but not complete happiness,as far sadness is related,it is natural,a man is always in sadness state untill he gets happiness but sadness is related with your desires and resources,desires come always in your mind and increases by time perhaps more drastically today in the world of media so depending upon your resources your sadness increases and decreases,,this decrease is actually the happiness of today's world...THANK YOU

Money is only needed in the objective life. We are all beggars in the subjective life.

Can happiness be measured? No, we only know it is happiness when there is absence of sadness and negativity. Same like cold as the absence of heat and darkness as the absence of light. Happiness is related to positivity. 

People who spend thousands of dollars buying cars, gadgets, mansions, and all other material things are very happy on the day that they purchased it, which could last for at least a week. After a week, their happiness decreases and leaves them to wanting more. It is a never ending cycle that you will undergo for the rest of your life in order for you to maintain that level of happiness.

So, does money buy happiness? Yes, don't be silly, it can, but it depends on what is it that you bought and money is not the only thing that can make you happy. Money will only serve as a support instrument for your happiness, but not entirely the main reason for your happiness. If you bought a vacation for your entire family in Maldives or to a very enticing place, you build a life experience. Life experiences are more important than material things. So technically, you can actually buy happiness because you paid for that vacation and all other fees to get there. But the problem is, all people are becoming dependent on money to satisfy their hunger for happiness, they are often confused for happiness as a more pleasant form of misery. Money doesn't make you rich, if you want to know how rich you are, count all the things that you have that money can't buy, like love..
