u make boadcast requ to server DHCP or Router if he is configer to be DHCP
If you are using DHCP then no need to configure TCP/IP , system takes auto genrated IP , But if you are using Satatic ip then you shoud go to network seeting and sharing , and double clik to internet protocl4 or6 and then asssign IP to to system manually.

Greeting. To assign a network device an IP either done manually or by enabling DHCP server (service) on the desired device.
1. Manually/Automatically for PC's:1.a for computer open network and sharing center select TCP/IP v4 protocol then properties fill the boxes IP, DHCP,... or select APIPA option.
1.b Or you can enable or disable DHCP service from control panel----admin tools--- services select DHCP client

Access configuration page of your router (..X.X) you can check your router page online.
select setup service and go for DHCPSame can be done for server, printer, IP camera

Enabel DHCP Role on Windows Server.
auto ip addressing is beeing handle by a protocol know as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. tjis protocol is responsible for giving out ip addresses base on the range you have configured .

Configure a DHCP Server or enable DHCP on your router. Then configure IP Pool. in the IP pool you can exempt some IPs from being assigned. e.g network and broadcast address, Server adresses or some crucial service IP addresses.
